A community where barriers between people with and without physical disabilities are transcended, limitations are overcome, new abilities are discovered and an increased awareness of self and others is developed.
Horizon summer camp is a week-long camp where adults with physical disabilities team up with able-bodied volunteers for a week of recreation, learning, and fun. Located in Hudson, Illinois on the beautiful shoreline of Lake Bloomington, Timber Pointe Outdoor Center is a fully accessible 170 acre campsite. Participants will take part in multiple adapted sports including archery, canoeing, paintball, and horseback riding in a safe, beautiful setting. Horizon camp creates and fosters a positive, inclusive, and empowering environment to all. Camp is offered free of charge to all participants.
