SUMMARY
Reflection
My time doing this project has been educational, inspiring, and fun all at the same time. I have gotten the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life, and make a difference for underprivileged groups. This project has opened my eyes to how complex life can be, and how it’s important to help others, even if it is something small. I have learned that compassion is one of the most important values to have in life. I would like to thank Food Lion, Target, Harris Teeter and Panera Bread for helping me along the way.
Project Impact
There is no limit to helping others.
PROJECTS TASKS

Page Week
10.00 hours participating in an awareness event | Connectedness
I am very grateful to have been selected as page this year. My experience allowed me to learn a great deal about state government. I was able to tour state government buildings and see delicate historic artifacts. I was able to choose an executive department and create a policy that could potentially fix a problem that this department has been dealing with. Most importantly, I have been provided an amazing opportunity.

Project Planning
4.00 hours donating other goods | Compassion
To collect items needed at the Women's Center that provide critical support for women experiencing homelessness. I plan to solicit from local businesses.

Publicity
1.00 hour donating other goods | Compassion
Receiving gift cards from Harris Teeter, Food Lion and Target for the Women's Center of Wake County. Receiving food from Panera Bread, every Tuesdays, for the Women’s Center. In soliciting from local businesses, I have publicized the needs of the Women’s Center to local businesses. In soliciting for the Womens Center, I have publicized local businesses that are supportive of the Womens Center.

Doing the Project
10.00 hours donating other goods | Compassion
Collecting items or gift cards for the Women's Center of Wake County. I have received and donated the following to the Women’s Center: $30 Harris Teeter gift card, $25 Food Lion gift card and $50 Target gift card. Every Tuesdays during the month of August 2024, and one Tuesday in September, I have donated breads, pastries, bagels, cookies, muffins and scones from Panera Bread to the Women’s Center to the value greater than $1000.
