    SUMMARY
    Reflection
Organizing Support is Style was one of the most eye-opening experiences I’ve had. While it began as a simple idea—a clothing drive to support women in need—it quickly grew into something much more meaningful. Coordinating donations across six counties, managing outreach, and watching our social media campaign reach thousands of people taught me the importance of persistence, planning, and the power of digital advocacy. But beyond logistics, what impacted me most was seeing how something as basic as a clean, well-fitting outfit could uplift someone’s confidence. It made me reflect on how often we take these everyday necessities for granted. I learned how important it is to center dignity in service, and how small acts of kindness can create lasting ripple effects. This initiative challenged me to step up as a leader, stay organized under pressure, and speak up for a cause I care deeply about. More than anything, it reminded me why I want to continue serving others—and how meaningful change often starts with a single step.
    Project Impact
Support is Style provided over 30 bags of gently used women’s clothing to the Wake County Women’s Shelter, directly supporting women experiencing crisis and homelessness across six counties in North Carolina. By combining community outreach with a targeted social media campaign that reached thousands and engaged 93 followers, we raised awareness about the importance of dignity in donation. The project not only met an immediate need for essential items but also fostered a sense of empowerment, confidence, and solidarity among both donors and recipients. Although we did not count the number of clothing items donated, we had multiple cars filled with 30+ bags of items.
    PROJECTS TASKS
    Page Week
32.00 hours participating in an awareness event | Integrity
I spent a week with an amazing group of teens and we learned about how the NC State Government works. We helped different departments with some of their work and learned a lot in the process.
    Project Planning
10.00 hours leading an initiative | Connectedness
We decided to make our project be a clothing drive called Support In Style or SIS for short. The drive will be held in 6 counties of North Carolina and will be targeted towards women! The proceeds will go towards the Wake County Woman's Shelter and we will get publicity from social media accounts and flyers!
    Do the Project
20.00 hours leading an initiative | Compassion
We hosted the drives over the course of the week of May 18th. Before, to gain publicity, we began an instagram account and reached 93 followers before the drive began. We also put up hundreds of flyers throughout our community. We then collected the clothes throughout the whole week and met up on the Saturday of that week to organize the items for the Women’s Shelter. We had over 30 bags of clothes filled and sorted through all of them
    Project Outcomes & Reflection
40.00 hours leading an initiative | Compassion
Support is Style was a women’s clothing drive we organized across six counties in North Carolina to support women in need and promote dignity through fashion. As a team, we collected over 30 bags of gently used clothing, all of which were donated to the Wake County Women’s Shelter, directly benefiting women facing homelessness and crisis situations. To expand our impact, we launched an Instagram campaign that grew to 93 followers and reached thousands of viewers through reels and awareness posts. Our social media presence played a key role in driving donations and building a community around the cause. Through this initiative, we learned the value of teamwork, community engagement, and using digital platforms for good. What began as a grassroots effort became a powerful reminder that style can be more than appearance—it can be a source of empowerment and solidarity.
