  • September is Hunger Action Month and the Congressional Hunger Center is launching our latest End Hunger Challenge on September 1, 2024. Registration is open so enroll now to get an email reminder when the course begins.

    Sign up here: bit.ly/HungerActionMonth2024

    The Hunger Action Month course is available online, free of charge, and includes our four-part video series that identifies the root causes of food insecurity and steps to becoming an effective advocate. In addition, participants will find:

    • An interactive online money management simulation for gaining an understanding of financial constraints for those experiencing poverty;

    • Data dashboards to pinpoint the current level of food insecurity in every county in America;

    • Videos that explain the economic impacts of hunger; and

    • Insights from top academic institutions on how to reduce food waste.

    • A certificate of completion for 5 hours of volunteer service that can be downloaded or shared.

    With each new launch of an End Hunger Challenge, our team at the Hunger Center focuses on topics ranging from rural food insecurity, the importance of good nutrition within our aging population, the voices of those who grew up with hunger, continuing challenges of food waste and the lingering effects of food insecurity post-Covid. The challenge is free and open to the public, so join thousands of other participants across the U.S. and sign up for the Challenge now
