YPN is in the business of SUPPORT, EDUCATION, and EMPOWERMENT. • SUPPORT by offering the foundation (immediate needs) and encouragement to keep going. • EDUCATION by offering relevant and helpful programming. • EMPOWERMENT by giving participants the tools necessary to thrive and break the cycle of poverty. YPN’s core programming model is called Building Bright Futures (BBF). The program is voluntary and designed to be long term (up to 6 years). We typically serve parents between the ages of 13-27 with children between the ages of 0-5. BBF is offered Thursday evenings at Kirkwood (40 weeks of the year), with free transportation, a free meal, and free childcare being provided. YPN also offers home visits and additional programs conducted in the home or at local libraries, community centers, etc.
