The mission of the Marshes of Glynn Libraries is to enlighten and enrich the citizens of
Glynn County by providing responsive, dynamic library services to meet the informational,
educational, cultural and recreational needs of the population.

- Intellectual Freedom – The Libraries support the right of the community to information representing all points of view, even when this information may be considered controversial or offensive by others. The Libraries endorse the American Library Association's Library Bill of Rights.
- Quality Service – The Libraries realize the importance of performing work in an excellent manner, with the primary focus on exceeding the expectations of our community.
- Universal Accessibility – The Libraries believe that universal accessibility is more than rules and regulations. It is a spirit of striving to provide services, resources, and tools that promote accessibility of information to people of varied backgrounds and needs.
- Diversity – The Libraries appreciate Glynn County's diversity and reflect that diversity in all of our services, programs, and collections.
- Learning-Centered – The Libraries are committed to being the focal point of the community in providing a wide variety of materials, resources, and services to meet the instructional, educational, and informational needs of our community.
- Communication – The Libraries understand that the unrestricted, effective, and frequent exchange of ideas, information, and experience is absolutely necessary for the realization of our vision and the achievement of our goals.
- Stewardship – The Libraries are focused on using all resources effectively and seeking to improve productivity whenever possible.
