SUMMARY
Reflection
Although a quick idea, the group of ambassadors quickly pulled together a plan that was much larger than we were, for an issue we all felt passionately about: clothing women around the state. As the future generation of NC, we realized that those who are less fortunate than we are need our help and that it is our responsibility to do so. We had a lot of fun collecting clothes and creating social media posts, but also noted shortcomings and things we need to improve upon for another drive.
Project Impact
We picked up 30+ bags of clothing, with thousands of clothes within them, including shoes. We had ambassadors in 6 counties and a social media account that gained 93 followers over this time.
PROJECTS TASKS

Page Week
10.00 hours participating in an awareness event | Curiosity
Throughout this week, I met with government officials and networked. I learned about the executive branch of our state's government and went hands-on in activities involving the branch.

Project Planning
4.00 hours leading a collection drive | Connectedness
I planned with my fellow pages our community service project, Support in Style, as well as planned for how I was going to collect items in my area by painting a box for donations. This collaborative effort will hopefully have created a beneficial service project.

Do the Project
10.00 hours leading a collection drive | Compassion
After collecting all the items from the week of donations, we had a lot to sort through, and spent hours upon hours collecting and driving and sorting so that the items all found their place. Overall, we collected more that 2,000 pieces of clothing, shoes, purses, and other items to be donated to the Women's Center of Wake County.

Project Outcomes & Reflection
1.00 hour leading an initiative | Connectedness
After seeing the smiling faces of those receiving the clothes, I knew that me and my friends had worked together for a greater good. It’s very important to me that I did make an impact, meaning that my work paid off. After the act of collecting clothing, we realized a few communication errors and things to improve upon, and we are planning another drive for this fall!
