Collaboration, Communication, Problem solving, Civic literacy and citizenship, Leadership
SUMMARY
Reflection
Through the period that I held this project, I was able to grow my communication and leadership skills. I enjoyed advertising to help and getting them to help a community in need through a simple donation. The feeling that you get when helping others and making an impact is an amazing feeling.
Project Impact
The impact of this project was donations around 200 items to a local elementary school in need to improve their quality of education.
PROJECTS TASKS

Page Week
20.00 hours participating in an awareness event | Connectedness
This is a great opportunity for high schoolers to learn about the government, through tours, presentations, and other immersive activities. This program helps students to connect with others their age to create a safe and fun environment for learning and holding service projects.

Project Planning
10.00 hours leading a collection drive | Compassion
Me and a fellow page member are doing a back to school supplies drive for the teachers of our county. The goal is to have enough people donate classroom supplies for the teachers who need it for the new school year.

Publicity
2.00 hours leading a collection drive | Compassion
A fellow peer, Corrine Mc'Gill and I are both holding a late back to school drive to collect supplies for a local elementary school in need.

Do the Project
10.00 hours leading a collection drive | Compassion
After holding the drive for 77 days me and my peer, Corrine Mc'Gill both collected all the items and took it to a local elementary school, Lucile Souders Elementary School. There we both gave all of the supplies we collected to the principal and vice principal who greatly appreciated us.

Project Outcomes & Reflection
5.00 hours leading a collection drive | Compassion
After the duration of the Late Back to School Drive me and dropping off the supplies me and my peer both felt great about our small contribution to our community. That same day we planned to do more service projects, but on a bigger scale like partnering with Key Club and UNICEF. Over all the experience helped us strengthen our leadership and communication skills that we will use in the future.
