SUMMARY
Reflection
Overall, after learning how to teach agriculture to middle schoolers, along with communicating with fellow FFA members, I can say I helped my community. This is significant because we opened up new agriculture opportunities and understanding for the next generation for workers, and to possibly see agriculture as a valid field of work to enter.
Project Impact
This project overall saw 34 FFA members participate in teaching students, four middle schools sending over 400 students, and saw a 50% increase in agricultural knowledge.
PROJECTS TASKS

Page Week
10.00 hours participating in an awareness event | Curiosity
Over the course of the week we met multiple state officials, made a policy proposal, and formed a service project.

Project Planning
3.00 hours leading an initiative | Curiosity
Today we scheduled the event, along with organizing who would do what workshop. This helped prepare us for the tour day and to teach agriculture.

Nash County Ag Day
14.00 hours leading an initiative | Curiosity
In this event we successfully taught over 400 7th graders the importance of agriculture and how it affects our state. We had 5 workshops across the campus illustrating these facts

Project Outcomes & Reflection
4.00 hours leading an initiative | Curiosity
The reflection of this event saw how we successfully taught the 7th graders by seeing the result of a survey. This survey saw over 75% of students participate, with the majority getting all answers correct. This proved we helped eliminate the issue of a lack of agricultural literacy in the county.
