SUMMARY
Reflection
I learned how incredible it is to help your community and put others before yourself. I collected supplies for new mothers and infants and dispersed it through clinics near me. I even made new connections by doing so and would love to do something like this again.
Project Impact
I filled two whole cars with baby supplies to help new mothers and infants affected by Hurricane Helene. I gave these supplies to two clinics near me and they helped disperse it.
PROJECTS TASKS

Page Week
10.00 hours participating in an awareness event | Curiosity
While I was in Raleigh for this program I opened up a whole new world of possibilities. I realized what it might be like to work for the North Carolina government and it appealed to me. I met new people too, who helped me learn more about our future. I really enjoyed being in the program and it was an honor to be there.

Do the Project
10.00 hours leading an initiative | Compassion
I took two car loads of supplies that would help hurricane impacted infants and new mothers to Asheville, NC and Shelby, NC.

Project Outcomes & Reflection
1.00 hour leading an initiative | Compassion
My service project helped my targeted group of new mothers and infants by supplying them with free items that may be costly if they can’t afford it. My area was harshly impacted by Hurricane Helene and I knew I needed to put my project into action. It was a really amazing outcome- I had so much support and many donations from people I had never even met before. It felt amazing to be able to help those who needed it in a time like this.
