    SUMMARY
    Reflection
Having to organize something like this that helps my community was an amazing way for me to give back. I would definitely do this again!
    Project Impact
To be able give back to a community that has done so much for me, it's truly life changing.
    PROJECTS TASKS
    Page Week
10.00 hours participating in an awareness event | Compassion
I met with important officials such as the Governor of NC, the youngest democrat to the NC General Assembly, etc. I learned how to craft a policy and service project for my community. It was extremely fun!
    Project Planning
4.00 hours leading a collection drive | Compassion
I decided to go with something a little simple that has a huge impact on my community for my service project. I started a canned/nonperishable food drive. I've hung up posters at my school, my sister's school, and my church to raise awareness for my drive. The 3 hours is how long it took me to find a Canva template, make a poster with the information, pick the dates, drive to all those locations, and go buy boxes at Home Depot.
    Publicity
2.00 hours leading an initiative | Compassion
I hung up posters and spread information about my project through social media. I called different churches and my school to get permission to use those locations for a drop off location.
    Do the Project
12.00 hours leading an initiative | Compassion
This is for all the hours I spent collecting canned goods, organizing them into boxes, and driving to Greensboro Urban Ministry and St Mary's Church Pantry to drop them off. I collected over eight boxes of non-perishable goods, from cereal to canned fruits and veggies to oatmeal.
    Project Outcomes & Reflection
1.00 hour leading an initiative | Compassion
This project was truly eye opening. It helped me understand the importance of helping my community. I was able to collect goods and give back to a community that has done so much for me.
