SUMMARY
Reflection
This Project Taught me so much about how to organize and coordinate. It showed me how much effort is required and the different ways and questions people may have. It took me a while to get it off the ground especially with the hurricane driving many people to donate to those initiatives instead. However, it was still an amazing experience and I am so glad I could do whatever I can to help.
Project Impact
We donated well over 1000's pounds of food to our local community. The foodbank said that our contributions were significant as during the Food Drive we specifically requested food they were low on or running out. All of the food will be redistributed to those in need in the local community or those in western NC who need help more than ever.
PROJECTS TASKS

Page Week
10.00 hours participating in an awareness event | Curiosity
Participated in the page program, touring the capital and learning about the government

Project Planning
4.00 hours leading an initiative | Compassion
First, we will contact the food bank to get a list of their most needed and important items. I will coordinate and work with other students who wish to help at my school and members of our school sports teams. Each student leader who chooses to participate will have their house as a donation and collection area for food. After a week we will tally how much each person has collected like a competition to see who gets the most. Word will be spread by social media and the competition should help to encourage individual student leaders to spread the message on their own. We aim to collect at least 2000 pounds of foodstuffs to donate to the local Holly Springs foodbank.

Publicity
5.00 hours donating food | Compassion
We Emailed both my football team and the opposing football team's parents and decided to collect food in neighborhoods and at football games

Do the Project
10.00 hours leading an initiative | Compassion
We collected all the food that families had collected in their various neighborhoods and those who had donated at the football games and dropped it off at the foodbank with over 1000 pounds of food collected

Project Outcomes & Reflection
1.00 hour leading an initiative | Compassion
I was happy with the way this all turned it, it was so fun to see the publicity and news spread. This did however coincide with the awful Hurricane in Western NC so many people said they did not receive as many donations due to those being donated to Western NC. Still I am proud to do what I could to stop hunger
