    SUMMARY
    Reflection
I am proud to have helped my community fight the battle against food insecurity. I have learned how to unite a community together towards a shared cause and plan to use it in the future for good!
    Project Impact
    Raised 100 pounds of food
    PROJECTS TASKS
    Page Week
10.00 hours participating in an awareness event | Compassion
Created policy regarding the commerce department to create a green economy for North Carolina. Attended listening sessions with government officials and learned how the government operates.
    Project Planning
4.00 hours leading a collection drive | Compassion
Determined what dates I would be running the food drive along with when I would collect the items. This would allow donors to have enough time to collect their donations and simultaneously donate them with others on the dates I listed I would go around and pick them up.
    Publicity
1.00 hour leading a collection drive | Compassion
I publicized this drive by passing flyers all around my neighborhood to raise awareness and ask for donations. I also posted along with my parents on social media promoting the food drive.
    Do the Project
10.00 hours leading an initiative | Compassion
I collected all the donations from my drive. The total will amount to around 100 pounds of food being donated to the food pantry. Below I have attached a photo of some of the donations.
    Project Outcomes & Reflection
1.00 hour leading an initiative | Compassion
After donating the food items I felt a huge sense of relief. I was so proud to see that my work helped to put a meal on those in need. I feel especially proud knowing that these are students who are working towards supporting their future. I believe that students should not have to worry about where their next meal is coming from so being able to help alleviate that stress makes me feel very happy. I can tell I impacted the food pantry because I helped supply food items that they were low on. I look forward to continuing my help with the food pantry and supporting it in any way I can!
