Valentine's Day cards for kids with rare medical conditions

  • Create HANDMADE Valentine's Day cards for children with rare medical conditions.

    - Use construction paper, markers, crayons, stickers, etc. Personalize cards with names and decorations. (No envelopes. No glitter.) Be creative! 

    - Do NOT mention the child’s diagnosis or challenges on the card. 
    Yes ✅: “Happy Valentine’s Day!” “I like mermaids, too!” 
    No ⛔: “You’re so brave.” “I don’t know how you do it.” “I hope you get healed.” “I’m sorry you’re sick.”

    If you make multiple cards, sort/clip them together by children’s names. (ie, a stack for Aurora, a stack for Mikayla). 

    Deadline: Monday, January 26, 2026!

    Verification of volunteer hours*: If you need proof of your volunteer service, email a PDF of the form you need signed to [email protected]  with a photo of your cards. Max of 5 hours per volunteer. For guidance, 6 creative handmade cards= 1 hour of service. *We do not sign for court-ordered community service hours. *We do not sign for store-bought cards.
