  • Volunteers are needed to adhere curb markers next to storm drains and distribute door hangers to houses along the streets that are marked.

This is a flexible project. You can mark drains any day of the week during daylight hours. The pavement must be dry and the weather above 50 degrees. Do you already walk around your neighborhood or school lin Fargo, Moorhead, or West Fargo? Let staff know and we can see if those streets need to be marked.

Everything that goes down our storm drains in the streets goes right to the Red River without being treated. The Storm Drain Marking Program was started to raise awareness and reduce storm water pollution. Markers say, "No Dumping, Drain to River," while the door hangers tell residents what not to put down storm drains and why.
