Throughout the school year, high school youth are invited to participate in Chinese Progressive Association's (CPA) volunteer opportunities and ongoing campaigns. In conjunction with the youth in CPA's Chinese Youth Initiative (CYI) program, high school youth will have the opportunity to participate in ongoing projects and campaigns around various social issues affecting the Chinatown community, including housing justice, environmental justice, worker rights, mental health awareness, etc. Activities include event planning, campaign organizing, political education, outreach to community members, leadership development, connecting with other youth, etc. There will be various volunteer opportunities throughout the year, and we welcome varying levels of involvement.
