PDXWildlife recently implemented a Pacing Panda Citizen Scientist program where individuals have the opportunity to measure behavior directly while it is performed by giant pandas on panda cams around the world. If you're passionate about research, giant pandas, and conservation work this is a great opportunity to get involved.
Watch Behavior Videos - View the series of stereotype lessons to get an understanding for how to classify certain behaviors.
Take the Interobserver Exam - Once you complete the videos, you can take the interobserver exam.
Record Webcam Panda Behaviors - As a certified Citizen Scientist, you’ll be able to begin collecting data.
Send In Your Collected Data - Once, you send in your data, it will be combed for publication and your name will be added under contribution in the final journal article!
