Join us for a powerful Anti-Bullying event on Sunday, March 3rd at 4pm CT! Together we will create a more compassionate world!
You will have the opportunity to experience a screening of a powerful Anti-Bullying assembly led by Kirk Smalley, who shares the gripping story of how he lost his 11-year-old son to suicide from being bullied. Kirk has spoken with over 4 million youth across the country, and is changing, and even saving lives. The screening will be followed by a live conversation with Humanity Rising Ambassador and Founder of Race to Speak Up, Devin Moore. Devin will share how he turned his painful experience of being racially cyberbullied into purpose. Devin is teaching youth across the country about bullying, self-esteem and how to be upstanders. He is also now a children's author!
At the end of the event, Devin will announce the launch of the "Devin Speaks Up Challenge" powered by Humanity Rising, where you will have the opportunity to teach younger students in your community about bullying and share a selfie with us to be eligible for a scholarship award for college or trade school, or an Amazon gift card. You'll also have the opportunity to share your solution to bullying in the survey.
This event will take place in the new Humanity Rising Metaverse! We will begin on Zoom where we will show you how to easily create your Avatar and then provide a link to meet in our 3D theater!
You will receive one service learning hour for the event, and two service learning hours if you complete the event survey afterwards!
