Get involved to discuss community issues and learn more about city government!
The Youth City Council serves as an accessible channel for open communication between council members and youth in the community. Council members will discuss council agendas and gain knowledge on important issues relevant to young people and our community.
The Youth City Council is open to community members 14-18 years of age in the Rapid City area. Applications are open throughout the year and the new term deadline is March 31st for terms starting in June. All applicants will be asked to sign up for a peer-led interview prior to the selection committee making their final selections. Youth City Council members will be chosen in May, and the first meeting will be held in June. Applications are accepted throughout the year and can be found at www.rcycc.com.
